In response to a recent post in which I pondered that it was a realistic goal to complete a Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) in 2013, fellow Garden City Club member and Toastmaster Extraordinaire, Charlotte King, reminded me about the Lakeshore In-Depth Advanced Toastmasters Club.
What is an Advanced Club? An Advanced Club provides strong evaluations, allows for longer and various types of speeches such as Panel Discussions, Brainstorming sessions, Oratory speeches, and Roasting speeches. Advanced Club members give presentations and evaluations at a higher standard. Some of the types of presentations required to complete an ACS or ACG designation may not easily fit into the format of a regular club; an Advanced Club is designed to support members at this level and to accelerate their progress.
The Lakeshore In-Depth Advanced Toastmasters Club meets every second and fourth Monday of the month from 7-9PM at Niagara Region Headquarters, 2201 St. David’s Road, Thorold, Ontario, L2V 4T7. For more information send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
